What to do in a dental emergency: If a tooth is knocked out, handle it by the crown (not the root), rinse it gently without scrubbing, and place it back in the socket if possible, or keep it moist in milk or saliva. Call Gold Dental immediately. For a broken tooth, rinse your mouth with warm water and apply a cold compress to reduce swelling. For a severe toothache, rinse with warm salt water and call us for a same-day appointment.
